This is a WFR project, inspired by an IRC discussion about possible character deaths, to write a story set approximately eighty years after World of Warcraft.
Working up a basic canon right now.

Right, I'm going to open-source bricu for any and all stories. Future, past, present, whatever. Here are some general rules to follow RE: Bricu in the Future.
After Threnn's death (maybe she died, maybe she gets resurrected, maybe the baby miraculously survives. I don't remember actually writing in a "there's threnn's body" scene...but whatever) Bricu will wage a war to tear apart the Scarlet crusade. He'll fight them, con them, trick them--whatever it takes to get involved and crush them.
Given that Teigue--the commander that led teh attack on New Stromgarde--didn't die, Bricu'd save her for last. Knowing Bricu, he'd end up burying her alive in Stratholme or someother horrible Forsaken place.
That only mostly kills her.
The, because he's not even close to dead, he'll spend two years in booty bay as a drunk. He just his the sauce and doesn't stop. Except on the days when he mourns the death of his family.
He'd avoid any and all WFRs, unless he can indirectly provide aid.
after a two year bender, Bricu would move to Theramore. He'd give up paladining for a bit, and work as a warrior; a Merchant marine to be precise. He'd also , slowly, establish a network of associates to keep abreast of what's going on.
--there will be a post about Bricu's ability to "persuade" others. It is forthcoming.--
after 30 years of that, Bricu would return to being a Paladin. But he'd be bitter. Very bitter. he'd work cons, blackmail horrible priests into doing what he wanted them to do and just have a very cruel philosophy regarding justice and truth.
He would not be a womanizer.
His motivation is shame. he is far, far too ashamed to die. If he ever found out that someone other than the Scarlet Crusade had anything to do with the loss of his old life, he would not stop until those people are held accountable.
Bricu's deal regarding death is simple: He dies when he is damn well good and ready. IF he drifts towards shadow magic, necromancy or warlock-y things (except an occasional deal with a demon here or there; a small loop hole that he created) his life is forfeit. Then he owes the powers that be some form of servitude.
Imagine a horrible combination Echo, John Constatine and Sawyer. Sprinkle with SPider Jerusalem.
Art by John Romita Jr. <.< >.>
If he learned that Tarq was Forsaken, he might consider coming out of hiding. Maybe. It'd have to be good..

Okay, most of you will be disappointed to hear this, but Brayden-canon doesn't involve him killing anyone or betraying anyone. He does help with the founding of New Dalaran, and is offered a leadership position, but turns it down in favor of those better suited to lead. Being the son of a minor noble, he inherits a modest estate north of the Alterac Mountains, which he sells to a wealthy merchant with dreams of nobility. He takes the money he gets and obtains the rights to Jaguero Isle off the coast of Stranglethorn and builds a pretty small house on the beach there, to live out the rest of his days. The remainder of the money he has he gives to the Stormwind Orphanage. Sorry to disappoint, but he's a good guy.
